Erotica and Porn? Same thing. Different sex.

In a world where porn is easily accessible and women can read just about anything they want, we find a line between pornography and erotica.  One might argue that they are the same thing, yet women seem to ridicule men for watching the same thing that they fantasize about when they read it in an erotic novel.

Most recently, author E. L. James of Fifty Shades of Grey, has been getting quite the buzz for how graphic and explicit her novels are.  Women are tearing through them, unable to put them down.  On the Today Show, they even suggested that men take a read at it to learn how to satisfy their women and get tips on how to be more "kinky" in the bedroom.  That seems pretty harmless and thought provoking, doesn't it?

Thought provoking indeed.  If men were to show women a clip in a porno video in order to give them tips on how to please them right and be more "kinky" in the bedroom, it would stir up emotions and insecurities.  Women ridicule men for the same thing they read about and fantasize about.

So why is it such a double standard?
